The Triad Chapter was created in 2004 and includes Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin counties. Our monthly meetings are held in Greensboro, NC.

Chapter Activities
Meetings
Please join us the first Wednesday of each month, September through May, for programs, plant sharing, and plant fun! Members often bring plants or other items as door prizes to our meetings.
In-person meetings are at 6:30pm, typically at the Kathleen Clay Edwards Library. Address is 1420 Price Park Drive, Greensboro, NC 27410.
Judy West & Deborah Staves are also holding monthly gatherings in the small meeting room during the day at the KCE Library to discuss topics related to native plants.

Daytime Discussion Group
Daytime monthly gatherings are the 3rd Wednesday each month in the small meeting room at the KCE Library to discuss topics related to native plants. Topics for upcoming meeting are discussed each month.

Bog Garden Workdays
Join us every Tuesday to help landscape the Bog Garden at Benjamin Park in Greensboro, a 21-acre public garden situated along Hobbs Road and Starmount Farms Drive.
Members of the Triad Chapter have worked since 2017 to enhance this open space for wildlife by removing exotic invasive plants and replacing them with native plants.
As Greensboro Beautiful Inc. volunteers, we coordinate our restoration efforts with Greensboro Parks and Recreation staff. We’d love for you to come and enjoy the company of other enthusiasts, learn about landscaping with native plants, and help maintain this jewel of a native plant garden.
Spring-Fall Schedule
During the warmer months, we meet from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
Winter Schedule
In the colder months, we move our volunteer time from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to take advantage of the warmer daytime hours.
Triad Flora Report
Note: We hope to begin this report again in the future, if you are interested in managing the Flora Report use the contact form below or speak to the Chapter Chair at a meeting.
Please use the past reports as a great resource for native plants in our area.
Lisa Gould compiled a wonderful monthly Triad Flora Report, highlighting her native plant observations and the observations contributed by anyone in the community. It is a tremendously valuable tool for learning about our native (and introduced) flora in the wild, for exploring flowering times, providing a record of our plant community through time, utilizing the knowledge and observational skills of our members, and making a trip to go see something special or new to you!

Annual Seed Exchange
We have an annual seed exchange meeting in December at Kathleen Clay Edwards Library.
Last December, members shared seeds from over 150 different species of native plants!
