Are you interested in advancing public policies and requirements for using native plants in your town and across North Carolina?  If so, please join the Native Plant Society’s Advocacy Committee!  We’re looking for a representative from each of our local chapters – and also concerned individual members – to help devise strategies for communicating with local and state decision-makers to encourage the planting of native plants. Progress is already underway in some cities and at the state level, so we have real opportunities to grow good plant policies!  The NCNPS Advocacy Committee will meet quarterly on Zoom on weeknight evenings, and all are welcome. We are especially seeking members from the following chapters:  Blue Ridge, Land of Sky, Triad, Oconee Bell, and SE Coastal.

If interested, please contact Karen Rindge, chair, NCNPS Advocacy Committee, at karen@rootedinnaturedesigns.com.
