Mile a Minute Weed and Weevil Along the Greenway

The mile-a-minute vine along the Boone Greenway off of Hunting Hills Dr. is totally out of control.  The Town is working on pulling it all along the river, but it is also encroaching at the end of the wetlands, and beginning to creep into the wetlands.  Join the Blue Ridge Chapter at 9:30 on this coming Saturday to pull as much as we can.  The berries are just now beginning to ripen, so if we get on this, we can prevent even more spread. Long sleeves and sturdy gloves and shoes are highly recommended.
