Annual Skunk Cabbage Pilgrimage

Come out and see the first wildflower of spring!  This amazing plant produces its own heat and grows from the bottom, pulling the plant deeper into the soil every year. We’ll meet at 10 am and check out the skunk cabbage, right at the trailhead. No need to walk far for these beauties. At 10:45, anyone interested can join in a hike up the Boone United Trail. It’s a 2.5 mile hike with some elevation and a small stream crossing.
