Who do you want to nominate for an award? NCNPS Awards Program, open for nominations, wants to hear from you.

Nominations in seven fields are currently being sought for next year’s awards to honor achievements that further the mission of North Carolina Native Plant Society. The awards are made annually in a wide range of fields that encompass all things related to native plants. The deadline to receive nominations is January 1, 2023.

Please refer to the NCNPS Awards Program for more information.

Members and non-members can receive these awards. Categories for Society members include overall superior achievement to further the Society’s mission, environmental education, botany or horticulture, and conservation advocacy. Categories for non-members and members alike include a business or institution that promotes native plants, landscape design with native plants, and conservation advocacy.

Nominations must include a resume outlining the accomplishments of the nominee and should be accompanied by at least 3 letters of support either from NCNPS members or from the general public. Those selected to receive an award will be announced at the Annual Picnic in June of each year.  Nominations are accepted in writing by the Awards Committee, 104 Birklands Drive, Cary, NC 27518.
