Uwharrie Chapter October 2025 Meeting

The Uwharrie Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society will meet at 6 PM on October 14, 2025. The meeting is hosted by Richmond County Extension – Director Paige Burns Clark.

Location: Camp Mu-Sha-Ni, Girl Scout Camp, 218 Sycamore Lane, in Jackson Springs, NC

Our program for the evening will be “Specialist Bees and their Special Diets” presented by Gabriella Garrison, Eastern Piedmont Habitat Conservation Coordinator for North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Many thanks to John Isenhour for securing our speaker.

Also, a short tour of the Girl Scout Camp grounds featuring the longleaf pine ecosystem management with prescribed fire, will be available for those interested.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a native plant, seeds or other items for the door prize drawing. Light refreshments will be available.
