You are invited to join us as we explore a trail and witness a stunning display of North Carolina Trilliums bursting into bloom, with vibrant reds and soft pinks carpeting the landscape. Take your time, soaking in the beauty and capturing photos. Walking sticks are encouraged for added stability.
WHEN: April 13, Monday, 11 am – 2:30 pm
WHAT: Guided ike, bring-your-own camera, walking sticks and a picnic lunch
Once we reach some rocks at the riverside below the waterfall, we’ll take a well-deserved break to enjoy lunch in this breathtaking setting. DIRECTIONS:
From Cashiers, NC: Drive north on NC-107.
Turn onto Shoal Creek Mountain Road (SR 1158). You’ll need to take a sharp left turn onto Shoal Creek Mountain Road. This road is not easy to see and can sometimes be difficult to turn left here so as an alternative drive farther north and turn around to approach this road on NC-107 from the north side.
Park and meet us at 11 am just off the roadside near the gate/trail entrance.
