Tour of Pandoland, Bailey & Sarah Williamson Preserve, Raleigh
Pandoland is a 17 acre site located within the Williamson Preserve, a Triangle Land Conservancy property and is Leaf & Limb’s non-profit plant restoration and educational site.
The site is an old agricultural field that now hosts Project Pando’s various native restoration projects and educational workshops. The first Pocket Forest was planted here, they are restoring a pond, and also experimenting with native edible plants like persimmon, Chickasaw plum, and more. EB, co-director of Project Pando, will show us around.
Wear proper hiking attire. Bring water. There is a portapotty at the entrance to Williamson Preserve (a 2 min drive from Pandoland) but no bathroom at our meeting location.
This pin will take you to the meeting location. Here are more detailed directions.
