
Tour of Durant Nature Preserve, Raleigh
Tour Durant Nature Preserve with Tracy Feldman, Assistant Park Manager for this preserve as well as Horseshoe Bend preserve. Durant Park, a 237-acre site previously a Boy Scout camp, was purchased by the City of Raleigh in 1979. It was designated a Nature Preserve in 2010 to protect the site’s significant natural features, including two lakes, stream, pine and hardwood forests, wetlands, and native wild flowers.
Registration required. Cap of 25 people; NCNPS members have priority.
