SANDHILLS CHAPTER NCNPS 75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AUGUST 4, 2026

Join us for our second meeting as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the North Carolina Native Plant Society. We are excited to welcome two special guest speakers for this milestone event. Former NC Native Plant Society President Dr. Ken Bridle will share the history of the Society and its journey to becoming the organization it is today.

Dr. Carrie DeJaco will discuss native pollinators and plant rescue. She co-found the organization Constructive Plant Rescue ( CPR ). This group rescues native plants from sites scheduled for commercial or residential development, helping preserve local biodiversity and protect valuable plant populations.

We will have a NATIVE plant swap, so bring a plant or two. To help ensure a successful plant swap, please bring only plants that are accurately identified and clearly labeled with both common and scientific names whenever possible. Limit one to three potted plants.

A raffle will take place immediately following the meeting, and afterward we will enjoy cupcakes and refreshments to celebrate and the Plant Swap will begin.
