Reid Chapter Social and Garden Tour (North Raleigh)
Reid Chapter members Dean and Val invite us to enjoy early evening amongst wild flowers, sedges and fireflies around their home in north Raleigh. Five years ago Dean started replacing his lawn and traditional residential landscape with native plants. His sunny wild flower meadow is now bursting with diversity of plants and wildlife. Dean is also experimenting with sedges and shade lovers in shady areas and more recently he expanded his water feature to include a much larger stream and native waterside plantings.
Come see what he’s created, get ideas for your own place, and visit with other Reid Chapter plant lovers. Dean will share a presentation about the changes and plans.
We invite you to bring finger food or beverages to share while we enjoy the garden and wait for the fireflies to sparkle. Let’s make this easy for our host and planet by BYO chair, glass and utensils. Address will be provided to registrants.
Register here. Group capped at 40. NCNPS members have priority through May 24.
