Date: February 15, 2023
Time: 7:00- 8:30pm
Location: Zoom presentation

Speaker: Anna Helvie, Co-Leader of the NCNPS Central Coastal Plain Chapter

Details: iNaturalist is an easy-to-use app for your phone that helps you identify anything in nature: flowers, trees, birds, insects, etc. However, it is also a powerful and important tool that helps our region’s plant scientists!  Native plant lovers can use iNaturalist to document plant sightings and inform botanists about what plants are in the field.  During this class, Anna will relay a story about a rare plant that was discovered in Craven County because of iNaturalist!  The goal of this virtual class is to help you load iNaturalist onto your phone and begin to get comfortable with snapping photos and having iNaturalist identify them.

This program is free and open to the public. Limited to 100 participants.
