Penny’s Bend Field Trip (Durham)

Join us to look for Baptisia aberrans and other sun-loving wildflowers in the meadows at Penny’s Bend Nature Preserve on the Eno River north of Durham. This preserve is underlain by diabase rocks and has a high pH than most soils in the region, thus supporting less common wildflowers.  See Link to NCBG article for more information about the nature preserve and recent meadow restoration projects.  This will be an exploration for all of us – come share the adventure!
