Join us for this floating event on the patio at Maxie B’s (2403 Battleground Ave, Greensboro, NC) as we partner with gardening experts from the Triad Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society to celebrate the magic of native plants!  There will be gift bags for everyone (as long as they last!) that contain 3 native plants, tips on where to purchase natives in our surrounding area, Doug Tallamy’s newly published Keystone Native Plant list for our Ecoregion 8 (Eastern Temperate Forests), information on other local gardening and environmental events coming up later in the year, and more!

We also have many wonderful door prizes…from a beautiful garden bowl of (locally grown) pitcher plants to books by Doug Tallamy and a wonderful English garden bucket filled with USA made garden tools as well!

The founder of Maxie B’s, Robin Davis, will be on site all day offering personal garden tours of the native plant garden at the bakery and to share the story of how she turned a parking lot garden into an oasis for wildlife in a very short period of time!  From monarch caterpillars to 11 nests of baby birds, to baby opossums and toads, her Certified Wildlife Habitat garden has brought much joy to all who have visited it this year!
Here’s the full flyer. Please share widely!

The event is finished.
