Fern to be “re-homed” at the beautiful Edward Baker Preserve

Jessica Blackburn of the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust has arranged for us to assist with a fern rehoming project to open space for a mountain meadow at the Edward Baker Preserve. Volunteers will learn about the hiking trails in this new preserve that is open to the public in Cashiers. Then we will transplant ferns and assist with organizing brush piles to help establish a native plant meadow.

WHEN: Wednesday October 15, 2025, 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
