Latta Nature Preserve Hike / Schweinitz’s Sunflower – Option 1

Enjoy a stroll with Naturalist Laura Domingo to a remnant prairie as we search for the Schweinitz’s Sunflower (Helianthus schweinitzii). This federal and state listed endangered species is endemic to the Piedmont of North and South Carolina. We will explore its natural history and hopefully see some of its beautiful blooms. Of course, we will botanize along the way.
