Wildflower Hike at Latta Nature Preserve

Join us for a fall color hike to Buzzard Rock at Latta Nature Preserve! We hope to enjoy some late blooming asters, goldenrods, and lake scenery on this leisurely hike. The hike is easy to moderate on a gravel path. Bring an extra jacket as it tends to be windy near the lake.

The hike will be led by one of our chapters members, Sara Byrd! In Sara’s own words:

“I am originally from WNC, which is where my love of nature was first cultivated. I spent many years working in the water chemistry field and more recently have transitioned into opening my own at-home native plant nursery and have become a part time wood and acrylic artist. I currently live in Huntersville with my husband and son, where we spend our days working hard and playing outside.”
