Judy West on Doug Tallamy’s Keystone Plants and Why They are Important To Us

White oak seedling by Bettina Darveaux

Just what is a keystone species? You can have a garden full of a multitude of native species, but if you don’t have some keystone species the ecosystem will not be healthy or will collapse. This program presents what is meant by the term “keystone” and will cover many of the main keystone species in our area.
