Joyner Park

Joyner Park Field Trip, Wake Forest

Come explore the huge wild meadow at E. Carroll Joyner Park and learn about its creation and management to support the web of life – including birds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators and bird food :). We’ll also learn about the park’s former farm history in the grove of massive old pecans. Herb Amyx, one of the meadow advocates and naturalist extraordinaire, will be our leader for this tour. Randy Hoyle, Parks Maintenance Manager for the Town of Wake Forest, will share information about how the meadow is managed.

Tour limited to 18 participants. NCNPS members have priority. Register here: https://northcarolinanativeplantsociety.wildapricot.org/event-5378040 Directions for tour meeting place within the park will be sent to those registered.
