Happy Native Gardens, Happy HOA
**This meeting will not be available on Zoom**
Join us at our November meeting for a round table discussion sharing information and tips for gardening with natives within Home Owner Association-Governed Communities.
Like them or not, more and more the communities we live in were created with sets of rules that homeowners are mandated to follow during the time they own a house in that community. For those of us who study and want to follow good environmental stewardship, building native flower gardens, and protecting the local ecosystem is an essential part of that stewardship.
As good neighbors and good stewards, we look for ways to enjoy our native gardens without raising concerns about maintaining our yards in accordance with community rules. Our round table discussion will start with information on How HOA covenants are instituted for new developments; Tips and helpful hints for how to keep your native garden beds attractive and a model of good stewardship in your neighborhood; Review suggestions on types of natives that work well in yards of all sizes, while enjoying slides of local members’ native gardens.
We invite you to send in questions and comments ahead of time that we can address during the session – please email to: Theresa Morr Tfmorr9900@att.net
