Great Blue Heron Loop Trail Hike at Haw River State Park

On Wednesday, April 16th from 10:30am to 1:30pm, Triad member Ann Walter-Fromson will lead a hike along the Great Blue Heron Trail at the Iron Ore Belt Access section of Haw River State Park.

Note: The Iron Ore Belt Access is separate from the main entrance to Haw River State Park, it is located at 6068 N. Church St., Greensboro, NC 27455

The trail is a 3.2 mile loop and is listed as moderate hiking difficulty

There are restroom facilities by the parking lot at the connector trail that leads to the Great Blue Heron loop trail. We will start at 10:30 am at the parking lot and will stop for a lunch/ snack break at the picnic tables that overlook the wetlands, about halfway along the loop trail.

You must have an active membership with the NCNPS to register.
