Print Friendly, PDF & Email

We are excited to announce that the Land of the Sky Chapter (new name!) of the North Carolina Native Plant Society is holding its first meeting on Saturday June 24, 2023. The meeting will take place at the Asheville Botanical Gardens in Asheville, NC, 2 – 4 PM. For more information about the venue and directions, please visit their website: https://ashevillebotanicalgardens.org/.

The meeting will discuss our plans for the Chapter’s future endeavors. We will also be available to answer any questions you may have regarding our activities and initiatives.

Furthermore, we encourage your active involvement in planning our upcoming meetings, hikes, and workshops. As we embark on this journey, your valuable input and assistance will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and success of our chapter. Sign-up sheets will be available during the meeting for those interested in contributing to the planning process. In addition, Dr. Destini Petitt, Professor of Environmental Studies at Brevard College, will give a talk on pollinators and native plants followed by short walk in the gardens.

We will be offering a few native plants as door prizes.  If you have a plant to contribute to this, please bring it along, with a label, showing what it is.

The event is finished.
