Caraway Creek Preserve Trail Hike with Jim Plant
Join us for an early Spring outing at Piedmont Land Conservancy’s Caraway Creek Preserve located at 829 Jerico Rd, Asheboro on Wednesday, March 13th at Caraway Creek Preserve where we will hike trails to look at spring ephemerals. The hike will be led by Jim Plant who is a member of the Triad Chapter. He works on Uwharrie Trails and knows the area.
Please note, the spelling of Jerico. If you spell it Jericho, you’ll end up somewhere else. Please arrive and be ready to hike at 10am from the parking area. There are no bathroom facilities on site. We’ll hike on newly built trails so be prepared for some muddy areas. Plan to hike 2.5 to 3 miles through different habitats. Early Spring ephemerals, state champion trees, an 18th century farm site and a 19th century check dam will be on our agenda.
