Tater Hill Hike to View Gray’s Lily
Matt Estep, Steward of The Tater Hill Plant Conservation Preserve, will lead a hike up Tater Hill. This is a special opportunity to experience a unique place. We’ll observe hardwood forest, riparian zones, alpine meadow and high rocky outcrops. The highlight will be Gray’s lily, but we’ll see much more than that! A prescribed burn was conducted on Tater Hill in March; we’ll get to see how this has helped the lilies and other native plant species. This is a strenuous, steep 5 mile, round trip, hike with a 1,000’ elevation gain. We’ll be at the summit for lunch time, so bring a snack if you’d like.
