Let’s celebrate the N.C. Native Plant Society’s 75th Anniversary with a huge kickoff at the Annual Meeting and Plant Sale 2026!

  • Saturday, April 11
  • 10 am—2 pm
  • Hagan-Stone Park, in Pleasant Garden, near Greensboro

On April 11, enjoy delicious food, get the scoop on all the Society does, and buy that cool plant knowing the proceeds support your community.

Made possible by volunteers, there will be a smorgasbord of home-cooked delicious entrees, oodles of green salads, and all kinds of homemade cakes, pies, brownies, and cookies, coordinated by Bernyce Pritchard. The picnic will be followed by  an informative program of awards, an update of the Society’s work across the state through our chapters and grant programs, and the much-anticipated silent plant auction. All this fun, of course, spreads appreciation and native plant conservation awareness, which makes everyone happy.

Plant Sale and Plant Auction

A highlight of the day, of course, will be the Native Plant Sale and Auction. Both events honor one of the Society’s guiding principles—to encourage the use and availability of native plants through ethically propagated plants. All plants for sale and for auction are donated by NCNPS members from their own collections to support biodiversity and to raise funds in support of NCNPS and its programs. Louise Romanow will manage the plant sale.

Barbara Tuset is grateful to be supporting NCNPS as a Board Member-At-Large since 2023, fielding emails to our website and adding properties to our habitat certification online map. Barbara has a BA in Biology and retired from technology in 2015. A Virginia Master Naturalist, she is co-director of the Wildlife Sanctuary Program with Northern Virginia Bird Alliance.
