Field Trip to Eno River Confluence Natural Area, Hillsborough, NC
Pete Schubert will be our leader for this trip around the Eno Confluence Natural Area. This is a relatively new preserve – 200 acres and growing, owned by the Eno River Association, located at the confluence of the east and west forks of the Eno River. On our December “explore” we were thrilled by the terrain, outcrops, creeks, trees and little evergreen treasures (Hepatica, wild ginger, puttyroot orchids etc). We can’t wait to see what’s emerging now and to have Pete’s help identifying what we’re seeing!
