Tour: Beeloved Community Garden (Raleigh)

Join us for a tour of this quarter-acre, mostly-native-plant garden just north of NCSU, created by West Raleigh Presbyterian Church to provide space for pollination of flowers by insects and to foster relationships between people.

The garden’s name is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s vision of a world where love will transform, redeem, and bring people together in a new way. NCNPS provided a B.W. Wells grant to the garden in 2022 to purchase plant labels and replace some of the non-native plants.

Beth Harris, one of the garden creators and stewards, will show us around and tell us more about the history and goals of the garden. We can also gather in the shade at the garden’s picnic tables to share info and questions about native plant gardening, especially in public spaces or front yards.
