Native Wildlife Habitat Tour at Kris Grubert’s House

This event is for members only, limited to 12 attendees. Registration will open soon!

Kris’ property has been 10+ years in development to help support wildlife through native plants and ecosystem enhancements.

This .5 acre tour will include > 85% Native species, a Wildlife pond, a tranquil water feature and a Honeysuckle-laden Moon Gate.

The property also contains multiple deadfalls and snags to support insects and birds- (bring binoculars!). Additionally, there is a rain garden swale built to (successfully!) alleviate water erosion issues and several rock gardens to provide small mammal and amphibian habitat.

In summary, while still a ‘work in progress’ (what garden isn’t?); this property illustrates how a homeowner on a modest budget can gradually replace a plain monoculture lawn with a diverse, enjoyable park-like experience while supporting local wildlife.

Address & parking information will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
