Botany for Plant Identification

To provide a basis for the classes in plant identification in the coming year, this class will cover some of the basic terms and structures that will help you in identifying plants and trees and understanding the various guides. We will cover plant/tree/fern structures, understanding key pictures, common botanical terms, and scientific names.
Jean Woods will lead this class. She studied botany in college and assisted Dr. Mellichamp when he taught this class for Certificate in Native Plant Studies at UNCC.
This will helpful to those new to botany and a review for those who would like one.
