Collaborative Oak Management in the Southern Appalachians

ordan Luff works as the Southern Blue Ridge Forest Ecologist for the Nature Conservancy, where his work focuses on sustaining the health and integrity of Southern Appalachian forests.

He works alongside public and private partners to promote and engage climate-informed forestry practices that aim to restore, enhance, and maintain the oak, pine, and mixed wood forests.

Previously, he was the Management Forester for DuPont State Recreational Forest and has an MS in Natural Resources from University of Vermont, a BS in Forest Management from NC State, and an AAS in Forest Management Technology from Haywood Community College. He lives in Brevard with his wife, two boys, two dogs, and cat.
