Zoom meeting and Wildflower talk by Adam Bigelow

Adam Bigelow will engage the audience with his photographs of many breath-taking wildflowers from our region. Adam is a horticulturist and amateur botanist who lives in Cullowhee, NC, and has been studying the plants and wildflowers of Southern Appalachia for over 20 years. Adam is the owner/operator of Bigelow’s Botanical Excursions, an eco-tour business leading guided plant walks in western North Carolina. He is an avid organic gardener and founder of the Cullowhee Community Garden. Adam is a member of the planning committee for the Cullowhee Native Plant Conference, the largest and one of the oldest Native Plant conferences in the country and he has attended the conference for many years. Adam lives in Cullowhee at 3,600 ft surrounded by Native Plants and Wildflowers with his dog Magnolia fraseri, and two cats Hazel Alder and Silky Willow.

Adam’s talk will be the highlight of the Chapter-wide kick-off meeting of the Oconee Bell Chapter of the NC Native Plant Society, serving the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau and surrounding areas.  It is being held via Zoom to maximize participation and with hopes that everyone will find a friend (old or new) among those gathered.  Come one, come ALL!   Join the  Zoom conference room at 6:30 pm for informal greetings and stay for the meeting proper (6:45 pm) and Adam’s talk (7:00 pm).

Uneasy about using Zoom?  Let us know and we’ll see if we can arrange a small get-together with a participant near you.
