Mineral Springs Greenway Tour

Due to limitations on space, this event will be for members only. Limit 25 members. Please register for this event here.

Over the last few years, Lynn Rivera has been working to rid the Mineral Springs Greenway of dense stands of invasive plants. Now, after an impressive effort by her and many helpers, the greenway is in much better shape and home to many beautiful native understory plants such as spicebush, trout lily, and spring beauty, which we will hopefully see in bloom during the walk.

Lynn will talk about her ties to the area and how she learned about invasive plants. She and Michelle Reeder will then give a tour of the area and discuss tips and techniques for removing invasives at home and in public spaces.

In total, the walk will be about 2 miles, though attendees are welcome to turn around if needed at any point during the event.

The event is finished.
