CAMPING

Jordan Lake State Recreation Area – Vista Point Group Camping
Location: 3199 N Pea Ridge Rd, Pittsboro, NC 27312 (15–20 minute drive to the conference center) 

Group Camping: Lynne Hebble has reserved 5 spaces for our group in a group camping site that holds RVs or tents at the Vista Point camping area in Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. (This group camping site is set up for RVs primarily but can easily accommodate tents also.  It is a flat grassy area with rows of campsites separated by a strip of trees or woods.)
Contact Lynne at 919-418-9137 or Triangle@ncwildflower.org if you want a space with our group – she will coordinate registration and payment.  

Cost:  Each site = $40/night for General Adults, $33 for Seniors (2 night minimum).
Check In: 3PM to 10PM when gates close.
Check Out: 12 PM (noon)
Cancellations: 2 week advance for VISTA POINT group campsites.

Amenities & Highlights
  • Site Features: Individual water and electric hookups at each site, hot showers, and an RV dump station.
  • Recreation: Easy walking trails, native flora, swimming area, fishing, and a camper-only boat ramp. (Note: The park does not offer boat rentals, but you are welcome to bring your own. Lynne also has one kayak available to borrow).
  • Wildlife: Vista Point is a primary nesting area for local bald eagles.
  • Friday Night Campfire: Lynne will be hosting a campfire on Friday night—all attendees are welcome to stop by!

Campground Rules & Guidelines  

  •  Pets: Leashed pets are permitted.
  • Drinking Water: The park recommends bringing sufficient drinking water for yourself and your pets.
  • Trail Rules: Bicycles are not permitted on the hiking trails.
  • Environmental Protection: Firewood gathering is strictly prohibited, and no plants or wildlife may be gathered or disturbed.
