Oconee Bell Chapter Plant Swap and Children’s Pollinator Activities at the “Green Market” of the Cashiers Village Green

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

To attract families, we plan on providing some fun pollinator activities for children of all ages (face-painting, pipe cleaner crafts, mask painting, and free seeds).

If you plan to bring plants for the swap, please have them labeled with both the botanical and common name.

As you are potting plants, pot your small plants for the swap at least 4 weeks in advance to give them time to settle. Oconee Bell Chapter members who bring plants to exchange will have the first opportunity to select plants, and then remaining pots will be exchanged by or given to non-members and guests.

No plants to trade? No problem, we will have plenty to share! Members who are knowledgeable about native plants will have useful resources, so this will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn.

Our native plant exchange event is being planned for the Green Market which was founded on the mission of The Village Green in Cashiers to enhance the quality of life for Cashiers area residents and visitors by offering a tailgate market featuring fresh, locally grown food.

The Green Market will be including one non-profit each month and our Oconee Bell Chapter was selected for the May 29th date to set up our booth at the Cashiers Village Green.

The event is open to everybody.
