Visit FernHaven – near Hendersonville
Larason and Juanita Lambert have a 3-acre woodland garden planted in native plants, particularly ferns. Carrie Blair has arranged for us to walk this property and see the 240 species of wildflowers, 58 species of ferns and fern allies, as well as 76 species of woody plants. This special event is limited to 18 people and is open to only members and one guest. You will be led on the walk by a native plant expert.
The property is near Hendersonville and you are asked to carpool as parking at their house is limited. The meeting place is Bullington Gardens parking lot, 95 Upper Read Oak Trail, Hendersonville, NC at 9:30 and carpooling from there. Hiking Poles recommended.
