Join Destini Petitt for a walk and talk on returning streams in Western NC to their natural forms. Here, we will discuss the issues that arise that call for stream interventions and how native plants play a pivotal role in restoring the form and function of streams. 

Date/Time/Location: May 24th at 10-1130 at Brevard College Porter Center Parking Lot – will travel to a second location 1 mile away. Bring water and be prepared to be out in the sun for this event.

Destini  Petitt is the Environmental Studies Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Brevard College in Brevard, NC. She is responsible for teaching a variety of classes with an emphasis on the environment. She has a PhD in Infrastructure & Environmental Systems from the University of North Carolina.
