Winter sowing Swamp sunflower

Winter Sowing Workshop, Raleigh

Come learn how to grow native perennials from seed the easy way.  Led by Devon Hull. Participants will create mini greenhouses from milk jugs for sowing seeds that need a cold period before germination.  After seeding the jugs can be set outside to let Mother Nature do the work of chilling and germinating.

Sign up here for Raleigh session. Cap of 20. NCNPS members have priority.  Opens on December 19 to non-members.

Soil, tools and some seeds will be provided. Cost $5/person for supplies. Participants to provide their own translucent gallon jugs and are encouraged to bring additional seeds to plant and/or share among the group so we have a diverse selection.
