Produces large amounts of wind-borne pollen that trigger allergies in many people. Because all parts of the plant are green, many people overlook ragweed and blame the showy goldenrods, which bloom at the same time, for their allergies; goldenrod pollen, however, is primarily insect-borne, and is not the main cause of fall allergies. |
