SUMMARY:Field Trip to Willie Duke’s Bluff, Durham
DESCRIPTION:Willie Duke’s Bluff is a steep bluff along the Eno River downstream of Penny’s Bend, with an unusual array of wild flowers.  Stars of the show this month are Dutchman’s Breeches (Dicentra cucullaria) as well as many other beautiful spring flowers.\nThe walk to the bluff is about 20 minutes (one-way) along an easy, natural-surface segment of the Mountains to Sea Trail. At the bluff we will diverge from the MTS trail onto rougher terrain that may be slippery in places.  So wear sturdy shoes!\nTrip limited to 15 people. Sign up here to register if you plan to attend.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4CA4AF2AABF5C16-willie\nDirections to meeting place will be sent to those registered a day or two before the trip.\nFor more information, visit  https://www.enoriver.org/hidden-gems-willie-dukes-bluff/\n
