We’re hosting a Plant ID training session for the 75th Anniversary challenge for NCNPS members, at 5 pm on May 26. Please sign up by clicking on the “Register” link below.\nWHEN: May 26, Tuesday, 5:00-7:00 PM\nWHAT: Dr. Paul Manos, Duke University Professor of Biology, will demonstrate online and mobile resources developed by NC Botanical Garden’s Southeastern Flora Team. This site https://fsus.ncbg.unc.edu/ is the gateway to improving your botanical skills. We will work through the functions of both the web version and FloraQuest Mobile app. If you’d like to follow some of the basic steps and try out a few functions during our session and afterwards, bring your computer and/or download the app to your phone for $19.99.\nPRESENTER: Dr. Paul Manos, Duke University Professor of Biology. Paul studies the systematics and biogeography of Northern Hemisphere woody plants with an emphasis on oaks, blueberries, and the flora of the Southern Appalachian region. He has extensive teaching experience including field courses and workshops taught at the Highlands Biological Station, Sarah P.
