Celebrating Native Plants with Members Sharing Photos & Seeds or Starts

(7 p.m., but we welcome folks to arrive early to chat)
Event Sponsor: Triad Chapter

(Barbara’s buttons with its seed protector, by Nancy Lee Adamson)

Join us to share photos, food, and stories of our native plant adventures and encounters. Members and anyone interested in native plants are welcome to all our meetings. Don’t worry if you haven’t been saving seeds—there are always plenty to share. If you have photos or food to share, please click on “Read More!”

Join us Wednesday, December 6th at 7 p.m. at the Kathleen Clay Edwards Library, 1420 Price Park Dr, Greensboro, NC 27410 (phone 336-373-2923). If you bring food, the library asks that it be packaged items (not homemade).

For the December meeting, some people bring bulk seed, so it’s good to bring some small envelopes, if they’re handy. Some bring plants. There is always plenty to share, so don’t worry if you haven’t been saving seeds or dividing plants, just come and join in growing natives!

Guidelines for photos for the December get-together:
- Photos of native plants, native plant communities, and related wildlife taken in 2017. For our projectors, images probably don’t need to be larger than 1200 dpi wide if landscape, or 800 dpi wide if portrait orientation. If you can reduce your photos before sending or sharing at the meeting, that would be ideal.
- Please send your photos to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by Dec.1 if you want them included in a powerpoint with names (include your name and caption in email please) or bring a flash drive and plan to share up to 5 photos. If you bring a flash, we can add powerpoint slides and keep your format, or just see photos themselves. The photos may be shared on the website after the program (so if you have any objections to that, just let us know at the meeting).  If you send photos to Nancy in advance and don’t receive a sample set back from Nancy by Dec. 4, please touch bases with her.
- No competition, but time for each photographer to share a little about their photos. If you don’t have photos, but want to share a native plant story, we’d love to hear it, too!
